Two weeks have passed since the start of 2026. How do you spend your days? Around this time of year, there are cold and windy days, but the weather is generally sunny, with beautiful, refreshing blue skies. So the first song of 2026 is "Tarira". This is also a song I co-worked with umi-san, and I think it's a very refreshing song. The situation of the song is summer, but I think it would be pleasant to listen to in the winter as well. When the cold days drag on, I can’t wait for spring. Though the days are gradually getting longer, making me think that warmth is just around the corner, the plum blossoms are still just buds, showing no sign of blooming. At times like these, why not take it easy and listen to a gentle song? The title is Azalea Road. Here's the 3-minute version. (Feb. 02, 2026)
The weather is getting closer to spring. It's still cold in the mornings and evenings, and cold days are sure to come, but the plants are starting to prepare. This time, too, it’s an instrumental song. I've titled it "Attentive Moment." There's no deep meaning behind the title; it was mostly chosen based on inspiration. Please enjoy listening to this music while you relax and have a cup of tea. 3 minutes 40 seconds. (Feb. 17, 2026)
Pollen is flying around everywhere. It feels like my symptoms are getting worse every year. How about you guys? This time, I'm featuring a song titled "Daisuki," created using Synthesizer V. I also asked Umi-san to write the lyrics for this one. But I think this is the only song that used a melody-first approach. It was a story from a long time ago. This is a straightforward rock song. Although I faded out after three minutes here, I hope you'll listen to the end. (Mar. 06, 2026)
The plum blossoms have finally finished blooming. With the equinox behind us, the cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom. Whether it’s cold or warm, all living things are beginning to stir. As the season progresses, there will be a sudden surge in things to do. I need to stay healthy and stay in shape. The song I’m introducing today is “to you.” I hope you can feel the warm tone of the ES-335TD. It’s 3 minutes and 30 seconds long. (Mar. 28, 2026)
This time, I’d like to introduce a song titled “In Your Sea.” It’s a ballad featuring vocals generated by Synthesizer V, and I’ve done my best to adjust them to match the lyrics and the song’s atmosphere. What do you think? I didn’t use any guitars at all in this track, so it’s entirely a MIDI composition. By the way, the lyrics for this song were also written by umi-san. The song fades out after 3 minutes and 30 seconds. (Apr. 22, 2026)
It’s been a while, but I have finally updated Cubase Pro. Cubase releases an update every year, but since it’s difficult to justify the annual cost of upgrading, I have been sticking with version 12. This time, I finally got around to it and decided to try out version 15. There have been a lot of changes—features I hadn’t even fully utilized before have been updated further, which is a bit confusing—but as one of the new features, Omnivocal beta has been included. I hear it was developed by Yamaha, and it makes it easy to create vocal tracks right within the DAW. So, I decided to use it immediately to create a short song. It was indeed easy to use directly from the MIDI functions, so I’ve made it available for you to listen to here. That said, I can’t deny that the quality still feels a bit unsatisfactory compared to other commercially available software. Well since it is a beta version, we can look forward to future improvements. (Jun. 15, 2026)
